Expansible Dowel Pins
A kind of cross between biscuits and dowels, these pins provide a tighter bond than regular, spiral or fluted dowel pins. The pins are milled oversized, then compressed so they will expand when you add water-based glue. This creates a tighter mechanical bond. Multi spiral grooves help spread glue more evenly and increase the bond. Chamfered ends make inserting easier. 50 per pack.

Face grain. Plugs are 1/4'' high with tapered sides for easy insertion. Made from select kiln dried stock. Easy to install with wood glue.

Repair it with Mr Grip Furniture Repair Kit
Repair loose rungs on chairs or restore worn screw holes, etc. Cut product to size with scissors, place over dowel end and push into place. For screws, cut to fit in hole lengthwise and then insert screw. Furniture repair kit #33118 contains 8 pieces measuring 1/4'' x 4'' . Screw hold kit #33126 contains 8 pieces 3/4'' x 2'' . Pieces are thin metal sheets with sharp teeth on both sides.
